Green Hydrogen Innovation Centre · Data Tools
Points to the hub type a country is best suited for and compares up to five candidate hub sites on their preparedness.
About the tool
Based on the Framework for the development of green hydrogen hubs (ISA-ADB, released at ACEF 2025, Manila), the tool helps determine the optimal type and location of a green hydrogen hub.
It works in layers: a strategic layer finds the best-aligned hub type (export, domestic, import or hybrid), a structural layer checks that type is feasible, and a location layer scores and ranks the candidate sites, showing where each one is strong or weak.

Step by step
6 steps from first input to result. Screenshots of every step are in the user guide.
Step 1
Pick the country of the hub to open the questions.
Step 2
Choose how many candidate sites to compare - up to 5 - and give each a name.
Step 3
If the hub type is already decided, select it. If not, answer eight strategic and structural questions and the tool points to the suitable type.
Step 4
Answer the questions of each category - infrastructure, demand, cost and resources, government support, ESG - for every site.
Step 5
Click “View results” for the ranking of the sites and their score in each category.
Step 6
Download a one-page PDF of the comparison, or revise any answer and view the results again.
Before you start
Select the country, name up to 5 candidate sites and settle the kind of hub - domestic, export or import. Not sure which? Answer a few strategic questions and the tool points to the most suitable type. Then answer the evaluation for every site; every question needs an answer. Select View results to see how the sites compare, and download them as a one-page PDF.
