Green Hydrogen Innovation Centre · Data Tools
Scores a country’s green hydrogen readiness on ISA’s assessment framework and points policymakers to the areas that need work.
About the tool
Built on ISA’s readiness assessment framework (Blueprint for ecosystem readiness assessment for green hydrogen), the tool gives policymakers a holistic picture of the exact gap areas in their country’s readiness for green hydrogen projects.
Each parameter is evaluated separately and combined into an overall score out of 5. The result shows the country’s readiness level, the score for each parameter and what makes it up, and can be downloaded as a one-page PDF report.

Step by step
5 steps from first input to result. Screenshots of every step are in the user guide.
Step 1
Enter the country’s renewable energy share and its solar, wind, hydro and geothermal potential.
Step 2
Say where hydrogen is used today and whether green hydrogen projects have been announced.
Step 3
Answer the questions on strategy, targets, regulations and incentives, then on power and hydrogen infrastructure.
Step 4
Add the innovation index, research capacity, ease of doing business and the cost of green hydrogen.
Step 5
Select View results to see the readiness score, then download it as a one-page PDF report.
Before you start
Select the country, then answer all the questions in 6 short sections about it - renewable resources, hydrogen demand, policy, infrastructure, technology and costs. Your answers are scored on ISA’s readiness framework when you select View results, and you can download the result as a one-page PDF report.
The 6 sections of questions open as soon as a country is selected above.
